Monkey Newspaper Launched into Virtual Space!

The longstanding press of the Alberti family (and offshoots), The Monkey Newspaper, hits the Internet with the launch of its new virtual incarnation, MonkeyNewspaper.com.

“That’s really cute,” types Chessie Alberti, author of upcoming articles. “Love it,” says Shannon Stephens, who you will see again in by-lines for posts and photographs.

This launch features a calendar, so you can keep track of all those crazy monkeys and where to see them, in addition to the irregular reporting and humor you have come to know and love from previous incarnations of The Monkey Newpsaper and The New Monkey Newspaper.

I am not exactly sure how this works but I am most excited to see this up and running. Perhaps introductions of a family tree
of some kind is in order. Thanks to Chessie for getting this going.

Love it, Millie Jo Layman (daughter of Charlotte Alberti Layman Zimmerman who just turned 88)

Ah! Hi Millie! I’m not sure how this works either, but I’d just like to say that it was Lucia Starkey who put this together, not me. :) I’ll just be contributing articles, I guess.

I agree with Millie Jo, we need a family tree for reference!

What fun! Thanks so much to everyone who’s made this fine piece of monkey business possible throughout the years. I had monkeys on my brain when I opened an email from a friend just now. The email describes 2011 as a “Moneybag” year in Chinese numerology, except I read it as a “Monkeybag” year! Hey, I hope it turns out to be both. Here’s an interesting excerpt from the email: This year we are going to experience four unusual dates: 1/1/11, 1/11/11, 11/1/11, 11/11/11, and that’s not all; Take the last two digits of the year you were born and the age you will be this year and the result will add up to 111 for everyone!!!! This is the year of MONEY. Also, this year, October will have 5 Sundays, 5 Mondays & 5 Saturdays. This happens only once every 823 years. These particular years are known as Moneybag years.

With love and laughter from from Leo and Sunnie Alberti’s eldest daughter
